The Tattooing Process. > Step 1 -
Preparation
Our Tattooing workshop is second to none for it's
hygiene standards, working methods & privacy policy.
Once you are
happy with your design choice you will be requested to fill in a
form.
This form will basically clarify your age (you
must be over 18 years of age to be tattooed) and your address and also
to make sure that you are medically able to be tattooed. It also helps us to
keep records of clients that have visited our studio.
These forms are
kept in strictest confidence
You will then enter one of our tattooing
cubicles, your privacy is most important to us. The cubicle you are in has a
curtain drape, these curtains do not necessarily have to be closed, but you
will be given the option.
The process starts with the area being
prepared by means of antiseptic soapwash and shaving followed by the
application of the transfer or drawn artwork that you have requested. This will
enable to see that you are sure or your choice and it's placement.
Whilst your design is drying, you will witness the setting up of
equipment. All needles and tubes are pre-packed & sterilized, colour trays
are disposable & wash bottles are protected with plastic disposable
covers.
The seat in which you will be sitting in is covered with a
protective sheet and disposed of after each tattoo.
The person working
with you will be wearing a disposable apron & latex gloves, all of these
precautions are vital because not only does it protect yourselves but it
protects us as well

Step 2 -
Outlining
The next stage is the outlining. This is considered the
most uncomfortable part of the process (although not that bad) It is normally
the quickest part of the procedure and once done you will be feeling a little
more settled than you did probably before hand. |

Step 3 -
Colouring
The colouring stage can take a little while depending
on the size of your design. Because of this is it entirely up to you if you
wish to take a break at anytime, there are no clocks in this studio, your
design will take as long as it takes to do it nicely irrespective of
size.
Time is not important, I used to think it was, but when I looked
at good work done by others it always took good time, please be
patient.

Step 4 -
Completion
Finally on completion of your tattoo it will be
dressed in order to keep it sterile until the slight bit of bleeding that
occurs has stopped and you will be given verbal & written instructions on
how to look after your new tattoo. This is very simple but most important, you
will be completely responsible for your tattoo once you have left the
studio, but remember we are only a phone call away should you need to ask any
questions on the healing process. |
